Lawrence ‘Larry’ Goerke is a patent attorney experienced in the preparation and prosecution of patents for inventions spanning the Electrical Arts and Mechanical Arts. Larry has practiced law for American and international clients and inventors in Silicon Valley and the San Francisco Bay Area of California since 2000.
Besides private practice, Larry was in house counsel to a major media technology corporation responsible for managing a worldwide portfolio of their intellectual property for over five years. Larry was also an associate with two Silicon Valley patent law firms over seven years.
In his patent practice, Larry has focused on technologies related to electronics, signal processing, semiconductor devices, fabrication processes and test equipment, audio and video coding, computers, software, networking, lasers and optoelectronics, communication, telephony, electrical power systems, printers, logistics, and processors, memory and discrete electronic components.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy Nuclear Power Program, Larry worked in technologies relating to naval and civilian nuclear power, electrical engineering, and power plant and system operations and process control before attending California Western School of Law on scholarship.
Larry is admitted to practice law before the State Bar of California and registered to practice in patent cases before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. Larry is also admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
