Robert Nupp is a Patent Attorney, and is admitted to practice in Ohio and New York as well as before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, the U.S. District Eastern District of New York, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Robert is also a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the Omega Chi Epsilon Engineering Honor Society, and is a Professional Engineer in Training in Ohio.
Robert received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering in 1997 from Northwestern University, and his Juris Doctor in 2003 from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. Robert has worked as a research and process engineer for Avery Dennison Corporation, served as a senior in-house patent attorney at ABB for several years, and has also worked at several prestigious law firms.
Robert provides comprehensive legal counsel to corporate clients, including handling patent preparation and prosecution regarding, among other things, artificial intelligence (AI), digital assets, blockchain technology, application software, e-commerce, wireless network technologies, medical devices, electric motors and machines, controls, light-emitting diodes (LEDs), small chain peptides, rubber polymers and compositions, initiators, electromechanical devices, and consumer products. He is proficient with trademarks, copyrights, litigation support, freedom to operate and clearance analyses, inter partes review and reexamination proceedings, and is experienced in negotiating contracts, including joint development agreements.
